Descripción: In line with the Business Unit’s medical strategy, the Biosimilars Medical Lead IBERIA (Spain and Portugal) leads and provides the strategic direction for Biosimilars Business Unit Medical Affairs and has overall responsibility for the medical activities, including post marketing observational studies, medical educational activities, pharmacovigilance, drug safety and medical compliance for all products within the country. The candidate ensures execution of the strategy and builds and maintains trusted medical/scientific relationships with healthcare stakeholders in the territory of major Biogen biosimilar presence. The Biosimilars Medical Lead IBERIA will have a team of four direct reports and will be a member of the Biosimilar Medical Leadership team. The position reports to the Global Head of Medical (Biosimilars) at Biogen and is based in Madrid, Spain.

Requisitos

Requisitos: The ideal candidate has an MD and/or a degree in biomedicinal sciences with PhD

Ideally, a minimum of 5 years’ line management experience

10 years’ experience within a medical affairs role in the pharmaceutical industry (prior experience in immunology/rheumatology/ gastroenterology preferred; experience in dermatology and/or ophthalmology is a plus)

Knowledge and understanding of disease area, local healthcare system/market dynamics, regulations, policies and SOPs, health economic techniques and trends

Considerable experience in interaction with health authorities

Demonstrated strategic approach to implementation of scientific communication programs on disease areas and treatments

Demonstrated ability to build a team and develop a high performing organization

Has demonstrated leadership skills and acquired knowledge and skills/competencies to the degree expected at job-level education

Native Spanish speaker, proficiency in Portuguese language is a plus

The candidate has excellent oral and written communication skills in English
